Since October 7th, over 100 thousand Israeli residents from the North and South have been displaced, and teens, in particular, have faced terrible disruptions and continued uncertainty in their lives.
Jeremy’s Circle partners with One Heart to support the displaced teens and give them some healthy fun time away from the hotels. By bringing the teens together, in both challenging and relaxing activities such as rappelling, surfing, boat rides, jeep tours, camping, and more, we help them connect while letting off much-needed steam, and strengthen the relationships needed for community-based resilience building. We also show the teens that there are organizations that care and invest in them.
The joint project is called One Heart One Circle.
About the Project
Drawing on Jeremy’s Circle’s extensive experience in organizing fun and supportive programs for teens, One Heart One Circle aims to create fun, healthy experiences where young people can come together, bond, and support each other.
Over the summer of 2024, the project has organized about 15 teen fun days, carefully planned to ensure they are not only enjoyable but also contribute to the teens’ overall well-being and sense of belonging.
Funding and Support
The project was conceived and initially funded by private donor Dr. Stephanie Becker, allowing the project to launch and make a meaningful impact without drawing on funds donated to Jeremy’s Circle. This has ensured that the regular programs of Jeremy’s Circle remain unaffected while extending its reach and support to the displaced teens in need. Please specify donations are for the One Heart One Circle project.
Impact
The positive effects of these events have already been felt by the participating teens, who have expressed their appreciation for the opportunity to come together, have fun, and connect with others who share similar experiences.
Get Involved
As One Heart One Circle continues to grow, and develop much-needed programming for the upcoming school year, there is an ongoing need for support. Whether through financial contributions, volunteering or spreading the word about this important project, everyone can play a part in helping these teens find joy and build resilience during this challenging time.
Together, with One Heart One Circle, we can bring hope, happiness, and strength to these teens who have been uprooted, and remain uncertain if and when they can go home.
